For three decades, Bob has been bringing his message of the urgent need to build a smarter, better world. His lifelong quest is in helping people, teams and enterprises in business and education, make positive change by learning how to think better and work smarter together. He has trained people in organizations to develop their leaders, build high performance teams and to accelerate collaboration. A relentless innovator, Bob continues to develop world-class thinking tools that people can use right away to build their skills, make better decisions and tap into their total intelligence of their team. Mandy St Germaine

Director, OneSMARTWORLD ACADEMY

Mandy has over 25 years’ experience in human resources and career coaching, and a decade with OneSmartWorld where she brings to bear her passion for helping people reach their full potential. As the Director of the OneSmartWorld Academy, Mandy creates engaging on-line and hybrid learning experiences to teach the OneSmartWorld system to our clients. Mandy’s embraces opportunities to talk with people about their 4D-i results, how they like to think and what this means for them personally and professionally. Mandy uses humour and real stories of human behaviour and personal development, learned through thousands of 4D-i de-briefs and coaching sessions.  Mandy and Bob have co-authored many of our learning materials that are used in schools, workforce development and corporate settings.

Jo Hopkins

OneSmartWorld Master Trainer, UK

A former International athlete and coach, a trained counsellor, teacher, consultant and adjunct of Hult Ashridge Executive Education, Jo uses the principles of neuroscience, psychology and sociology to underpin her thinking and practice in organisational and human behaviour. Her roles such as Performance Mentor for Team GB Performance Services Team, (Rio 2016) have honed her skills and processes working with world class performers and Senior Leadership teams who are required to deliver under extreme pressure. With over 20 years of experience developing people, Jo has a trademark for a challenging yet supportive approach which encourages and empowers individuals to take control of their environment and responsibility for their own performance. Jo established JHC in 2014 with a singular desire to help people succeed. She is particularly focused on developing women to excel in high performance environments. Working only with the very best she ensures that every organization is assured a tailor made delivery. Her voice is authentic and speaks from experience and this authenticity remains a core part of JHC as it continues to grow.


Dr. Heather Henderson

ONESMARTWORLD MASTER TRAINER

Dr. Heather Henderson is an educator and facilitator who works with teachers/educators to achieve their goals and particularly their MEd in Leadership degree. Additionally, Dr. Henderson works with doctoral students as they complete their dissertations. Heather obtained her Ed.D from City University in Seattle, as well as her M.Ed. in Educational Administration and Special Education from the University of British Columbia, and her B.Ed. from the University of Calgary. She has served in a variety of educational leadership positions from teacher, vice-principal, principal, superintendent of curriculum and instruction, interim director of education/assistant director, assistant superintendent, and deputy superintendent throughout the three provinces of British Columbia, Alberta, and Saskatchewan. She has also worked with not for profit as a Senior Program Manager in the Calgary Bridge Foundation for Youth – an organization that supports young immigrants and their families as they travel their journey to Canadian life. As well, for the last ten years, Heather has work with City University of Seattle and currently as Canadian Director of the Educational (M Ed) Leadership program. All these experiences, her education, and by incorporating tools such as One Smart World have given Heather the opportunity to understand leadership in the 21 st Century and how we need to adapt to a new paradigm. As a Certified Executive Coach and leader, Heather is aware of the importance of focused and open conversation including the need to use a coach-approach when working with individuals – senior staff, teachers, students, and community members. Heather values relationships and how they can be built and maintained while encouraging others to use their voices.


Hanne Nielsen Hamlin

OSW Master Trainer

Hanne Nielsen Hamlin (BBA; B.Ed.; MA; OCT) is a OneSmartWorld Master Trainer with over 30 years of experience within the Ontario public education sector. Serving as a Principal of Adult & Continuing Education for 10 years, she is well versed in working with ‘partners’ in county, provincial and federal governments to deliver employment and training programs to meet ever changing labour markets. Leading the integration of Smart Skills throughout the curriculum produced outstanding results for staff and students in learning the essential skills required for the 21 st Century. Students, faculty and administration were able to collaborate using the OSW Smart Tracks to find solutions together on critical issues.

As a Superintendent of Education with responsibilities for Partnerships, Health & Safety, International Education and Research & Decision Support, Hanne focused on integrating the Smart Skills processes to support achieving successful collaborations and impactful results at the senior level of the organization. Hanne works with school boards, not-for-profits, governments, community organizations and businesses

to improve their organizational performance. Today’s complex world requires teams to work smarter and better together and using OneSmartWorld processes have never been more imperative. Hanne will work with you and your team to develop a high-performance team that is focused on creating impact.


Sam Whale

Certified Associate

Sam joined UK Sport during John’s tenure as CEO, where he was responsible for leading the prestigious Elite Coach Programme. The initiative was designed to develop world-class, high-performance coaches for London 2012 and beyond. Sam is also a Non-Executive Director of British Wheelchair Basketball. During his time at UK Sport, Sam created a national leadership development strategy to bring together CEOs, Chairs and Board Members. He also led the creation of a new Mentor Development Programme for elite coaches and leaders within UK Sport’s high-performance system to support the next generation of coaches and leaders.Sam completed his Post Graduate Diploma in Executive Coaching and Organisational Change with Ashridge Business School. Sam is a visiting lecturer at Loughborough University London where he contributes to the Masters in Sports Business and Leadership.


Karen Brown, MBE 

Certified Associate

Karen is a former International hockey player and Coach, she won 355 caps a world record, captained her country and won Olympic Bronze, European Gold and Commonwealth Silver medals as an athlete.  In 2005 she was appointed Coach of the GB and England woman’s squad that achieved Olympic Gold (Rio) & Bronze (London), European Gold, Commonwealth Silver and World Cup Bronze, during her tenure the team world ranking rose from 10th to 2nd, the sports highest ever position. Karen now works for the English Institute of Sports as a Performance Mentor working across 8 Olympic Sports, as well as Consultancy for organisations such as Arsenal FC, Watford FC Southampton FC Premier League, UK Sport & UK Coaching.  Her interests lie in creating and sustaining high performing teams that can perform under pressure.


Benedict (Ben) John Grebinski B.Ed.,P.G.D.,M.Ed.,PSGov.,QArb.,QMed

Ben Grebinski is a long time Educational Administrator who has served in the Public Education Sector for 45 years. Ben has held positions as Classroom teacher, Communications officer, Department Head, Vice Principal, Principal, Superintendent and Director/CEO of Education, Coach, Systems Trainer and Professional Development Facilitator. His experiences span across Rural and Urban as well as Catholic and Public Education systems. Ben has also served as a Special Guest Lecturer and Sessional Lecturer with the University of Saskatchewan and the University of Regina. Ben has provided numerous keynote addresses and lectures across North America. He has extensive experience in organizational change and has served on several provincial educational and governance review committees. Ben’s experiences extend beyond the field of Education and into such areas as Strategic Planning, Facilitation, Public Sector Board Governance, Public Policy, First Nation/ Indigenous People relations, Sports Administration, Human Resources/Performance Development, Conflict Resolutions, Mediation and Arbitration. Ben has served on Public Sector and Not for profit Boards and has held leadership roles within each of these experiences. Ben is an active learner and continues to expand his experiences. He has strong analytical skills and is exceptional in his ability to investigate and determine solutions. He is an experienced administrator and is well known for his abilities to take complex issues and turn them into simple statements of what needs to be done. Ben can execute on actions to achieve a desired outcome.


Nives Malara

Nives has been described as “a passionate, results-focused specialist in the realm of Organizational Development with many years of leadership successes in Human Resources, Learning & Development, Change Management, Communications and Operations. She has held leadership positions in both the public sector and private industry. She combines strategic and tactical planning talent to deliver high-impact programs in hard and soft skill areas. She is respected both as an imaginative, innovative change agent who is not afraid of uncharted waters, and as an approachable, inclusive leader who is committed to empowering, motivating, and challenging clients to attain new levels of performance excellence.” Nives’ education includes: a Bachelor of Arts – Political Science from UWO and a Masters of Adult Education (in progress) from the University of Calgary. She holds credentials in Strategic Human Resource Management, Strategic Leadership, Innovation, and Adult Education from Queens, Ivey, York, and St Francis Xavier Universities.  She is certified as a Workplace Harassment and Discrimination investigator. She is also a certified One Smart World facilitator. Her recent assignments have focused on Team and Leadership development in the public and manufacturing sectors. 


Britta Wenske

Britta is a OneSmartWorld certified Associate and the owner of speak up!, a German-based company specializing in helping leaders communicate more effectively. speak up! provides training and coaching in presentation technique, giving talks with clarity and passion, handling media and interviews, voice training and ‘presencing‘ – maximizing a leader’s impact by helping them be fully present with their audiences.

Britta and her team at speak up! combine elements of acting with the science of effective communication, bringing together the best of both worlds.

Always curious about new ways of deepening her insights and improving results, Britta became a OneSmartWorld Associate and began implementing their simple – yet powerful – tools in her training and coaching. Her own unique combination of intuition, flexibility and critical thinking enables her to help leaders acknowledge ambiguity, address uncertainty, and then make good decisions and communicate clearly.

Britta has worked with organizations in manufacturing, technology, energy, finance and post secondary education. speak up! clients include MontBlanc, Chanel, York University (Toronto), MWM and Warner Brothers. speak up! also supports non-profit organizations such as Viva Con Agua.


Terry Gunderson

With more than 35 years + in the field of education Terry provides a wide range of consultancy services  with the Alberta School Boards Association including Executive Searches, Board Evaluations, Superintendent  Evaluations, Strategic Planning Sessions, Policy Redevelopment and Review and Board Governance.  Terry is the proud recipient of many notable awards for his life-long contributions to the field of education and his tireless work on key Governance Boards. 

Terry has been a certified associate of OneSmartWorld for over 20 years (?) using the 4D-i extensively in his work with the onboarding and team development of new Boards. Terry has a firm belief in the value of democratically elected school boards and them insights and benefits they bring to the communities they serve. Terry finds the 4D-i invaluable in engaging the thinking of newly elected boards in developing their skills and abilities in collaborative problem solving.


Sejal Ahir

Sejal Gravelle is the Co-Founder and Career Development Specialist at Devant, a subsidiary of Academica Group. A former international student from Uganda, she has expertise in the international student experience and journey. For more than 7 years, Sejal has coached and guided international student graduates to ease their integration into Canadian society and enter the professional workforce.  Sejal has also worked with internationally trained professionals from diverse socio-economic and cultural backgrounds to provide counselling on matters related to their career, academics and settling into their new life in Canada.

Sejal applies the 4Di to engage course participants to not only understand the language of soft/human skills but to help build their personal brand and develop their employability skills.


Denis Gravelle

Denis Gravelle is the Co-Founder and Stakeholder Engagement at Devant, a subsidiary of Academica Group, leading career and skills development projects in collaboration with industry and academia. Denis has led workforce development projects focusing on newcomers and international students. An experienced educator and trendsetter, his focus lies primarily on workforce development and skills training in the age of disruption. Denis has held previous leadership positions in adult learning and workforce development at Seneca, Humber and Fanshawe Colleges, and earned his BA from Western and MEd from OISE University of Toronto.

Denis applies the 4Di to engage participant to not only understand the language of soft/human skills but to help build their personal brand and develop their employability skills.


Jonathan Willcocks

Jonathan is the Founder, CEO and Chief Visionary of Pinnacle Pursuits, BC’s premier company specializing in experiential learning, team-building, leadership development, and corporate training. ‘Jono’ is passionate and skilled at creating meaningful experiences that empower groups to safely connect, engage, grow and thrive. As a professional facilitator and coach, combined with his experience as an award-winning experiential educator and business owner, he is able to use his experience and insights to harness the most effective tools and ‘breakthrough’ strategies for inspiring and developing high performing leaders, rock-solid teams, healthy workforces, schools, and thriving organizations.

From a young age, responsibility, leadership, and adversity have played a major theme in creating and defining his life. His early experience as a wilderness boot camp counsellor for young offenders fueled his interest in working with people to change their behaviors, values, and attitudes to achieve results. Now, years later, Pinnacle Pursuits has evolved into a successful and thriving business that provides a range of solutions to improve businesses, schools, not-for-profits, and community groups, First Nations organizations, and families. He and his team have worked in 11 countries and impacted over 325,000 people world-wide. 

Jonathan is a Certified Executive Leadership and Life Coach with a University Educational Degree in Kinesiology and Human Wellness. He is a qualified Forum Moderator and Eco-Therapist and versed in almost all areas of outdoor skills and pursuits. Jono is a competitive athlete, father, regular keynote speaker at events and conferences, sits on various boards, and volunteers in the community. He was a recipient of Business in Vancouver Top 40 under 40 (BIV40under40) and awarded the Experiential Educator of the Year by the Association for Experiential Education.

Jonathan regularly facilitates team workshops using the OneSmartWorld system as a tool to bring greater understanding among leaders and their workforces, strengthen group dynamics and create more efficient human processes within teams and organizations.

Kristin Roy 

Certified Associate

Kristin Roy has been a leadership trainer and coach for more than 20 years, and a facilitator of the 4 Dimensions Inventory since 2013. In that time, she has used the assessment to work with dozens of teams to improve their practice in a tangible way. Every time, teams are able to discover more about themselves as individuals, and uncover strategies and knowledge that allow them to become high-performing teams, or deepen their existing skillset. 

Kristin delivers training on a wide variety of topics to groups in both the public and private sectors, but has extensive experience working in post-secondary education, K-12 education and not-for-profit. Through her work, Kristin is committed to developing strong teams, establishing clear and attainable goals and ensuring learning is enjoyable, meaningful and leaves a long-lasting impact that is so much more than just a workshop. 

Kristin holds a B.A from Wilfrid Laurier University and a B.Ed in Adult Education and a Master of Education from Brock University. She is based in Calgary, Alberta where you can usually find her paddle boarding, playing in the mountains or cheering for her kids on the volleyball court. As a warm yellow, Kristin is always open to meaningful experiences that move a team and its leaders forward, and brings warmth, kindness and sincerity to all training and coaching sessions.


Gillian Williams McClean

Gillian Williams McClean is a seasoned communications professional with more than 30 years of experience in the private, public and volunteer sectors. Gillian is a certified OneSmartWorld Associate applying the 4D-i and SmarterMeetings processes with clients to achieve higher team performance in problem solving, collaboration and leadership skills. 

Her career includes executive and senior management roles in the education and health sectors where she led internal teams and external agencies to provide a range of services, including advertising and marketing, advocacy, crisis management, government relations, media relations, and public engagement.

Gillian has trained, coached and led cross-sectoral teams in strategic communications, governance, leadership development, and equity, diversity and inclusion programs. She excels in leading teams to engage with the organizational vision, mission and strategic direction, and to heighten their involvement in the attainment of business objectives. Her compassionate and motivational interpersonal skills serve to build a rapport that inspires stakeholders to achieve their individual and corporate goals.
